BLACK SEA DISCOVERY WITH BUCHAREST EXTENSION

This 14-day vacation starts with three nights in Bucharest. There's time at leisure to enjoy the city at your own pace, as well as an all-day excursion to Transylvania, visiting Bran Castle, assumed to be the home of Romanian vampires, and Sinaia. Guided sightseeing shows you the highlights of Romania's capital before a short drive takes you to Oltenita to board your river cruise ship. First stop is Constanta, known as the "Pearl of the Black Sea Riviera," where a visit of the Natural History and Archaeological Museum is included in the guided sightseeing tour. Then on to Rousse, Bulgaria's largest inland port, where a full-day excursion takes you to the ancient capital of Veliko Târnovo and to nearby Arbanassi. Rejoin your ship in Svistov and continue to sail upriver past the dramatic gorge of the Iron Gates to Belgrade, where sightseeing with Local Guides shows you the highlights of Serbia's capital city. Stop in Kalocsa, Hungary, before reaching Budapest for two nights in the capital, where your vacation ends.
