This is a unique vacation to explore the most fascinating spots in Iceland. Your trip starts in Reykjavik, the capital of Iceland. Visit the central historical places of the country, including the old Parliament site in Pingvellir National Park, founded in 930 AD. Explore Borgarfjörður country and visit Deildatunguhver, one of the world's most powerful hot springs, and the lava waterfalls in Hraunfossar, where crystal-clear water seems to drop out of a 1,000-year-old lava field. Visit the Maritime Museum in Hellissandur. Enjoy a boat cruise, a horse show, and visits to a farm, the replica farmhouse of Erik the Red, and one of the oldest houses in Iceland. Take pictures of the Goöafoss (Waterfall of the Gods), Hveravellir (Field of Hot Springs), and Gullfoss (Golden Waterfalls). Visit the Geysir Area and walk around its hot springs. A trip highlight is the National Park of Skaftafell and a walk up the biggest European glacier. Finally, you may wish to enjoy a swim in the natural geothermal pool in the Blue Lagoon.
